Savant Speed Vac Plus SC110A centrifugal evaporator

  • Small capacity concentrator
  • Rotors available
  • 90 day warranty

The Savant SC110A SpeedVac is a centrifugal vacuum concentrator that rapidly evaporates liquids to concentrate dry solutes, analytes, and residues in aqueous and organic solvents. Vacuum is applied to the sample chamber and as the rotor spins centrifugal force keeps samples from foaming or bumping, thus preventing sample loss. Typical applications include concentrating or drying oligonucleotides, ethanol precipitates of DNA, hydrolysates of proteins, chromatography fractions, solid phase eluants, liquid/liquid extracts, and samples for analysis by HPLC, GC/MS, immunoassay, and bioassay. Rotors sold separately; please call or email for rotor pricing and availability.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
