The Germinator 500 Bead Sterilizer decontaminates micro dissecting metal instruments and can sterilize instrument tips. The Germinator 500 incorporates a stainless steel well that is filled with tiny glass beads and heated to 500°F.

Germinator 500 – Features

Dry heat decontamination occurs through heat transfer from the glass beads to the portion of the instrument in contact with the beads. Small instrument tips such as scissors, forceps, scalpels and tweezers are decontaminated in about 15 seconds while larger instruments may take as long as one minute. (Please note that the Germinator 500 should not be used as a substitute for traditional methods of terminal sterilization.)

This Germinator 500 Bead Sterilizer is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications.

While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run.

Additionally, if you have specific testing requirements or requests, please inform us. We will gladly work with you to ensure these requirements are addressed during testing.
