Buchi R-300 Rotary Evaporator System

  • Buchi R-300 tower
  • B-300 bath
  • V-300 vacuum pump
  • F-105 recirculating chiller
  • 90-day warranty

The Buchi R-300 rotary evaporator “rotavapor” system includes the R-300 tower B-300 heating bath, F-105 recirculating chiller, and V-300 vacuum pump. The Buchi R-300 features an ergonomic handle with conveniently change the position of the lift, direction rotation speed control for immediate adjustment of rotation speed, and Combi-Clip flask connection.

The Buchi V-300 is a chemically resistant PTFE diaphragm vacuum pump with quiet, efficient operation. Flow rate is 1.8m3/h and the ultimate vacuum is 5 mbar. Due to the absence of sudden pressure changes bumping is minimized. Condensed solvents or particles are easily visible thanks to the transparent front panel.

The F-105 recirculating chiller is an environmentally friendly and compact recirculation chiller designed for one laboratory evaporator. The cooling temperature of the F-105 features an adjustable temperature range from -10°C to +25°C.

Buchi rotary evaporators allow users to quickly perform single step distillations in a product friendly manner with the evaporation and condensation of solvents using the rotating evaporating flask. Distillations are typically performed under vacuum, which helps protect the product and increases performance output. While specific conditions will varying depending on application, the basic operation of a Buchi rotovap system is as follows: the solvent is heated over a heating bath while the drive unit rotates the evaporating flask evenly. The solvent vapor flows quickly into the condenser and the energy in the solvent is transferred to the cooling medium. And presto bingo, the solvent condenses and collects in the receiving flask.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
