The vertical-rising sash can be raised to a maximum operating height of 28 inches, ensuring flexibility for various tasks. Airflow requirements should match the 28-inch operating height for optimal performance. However, when using sash stops, airflow demands can be reduced by approximately 40% at 18 inches or 50% at 15 inches, improving energy efficiency.

This hood features 12-inch (12.75-inch OD pipe) exhaust connections designed to minimize static pressure loss while maintaining effective transport velocity through the exhaust system. This Labconco 8’ Protector Laboratory Hood is used and reconditioned. Our technicians inspect all fume hoods to make sure that the baffles are present and intact, the interior lights are functioning, and that the sash is intact and runs smoothly on the tracks along with the counterweights.
