The Microm HM500 OM is an upright standing open top microtome for a cutting temperature range down to -40°C. The rustproof microtome has a section thickness range from 0.5um to 90um and retracts the specimen at the end of the cut for both the protection of the knife and specimen, while the motorized coarse feed system allows the specimen to move both forward and backward. Two independent cooling systems control the temperature of both the working area of the microtome and knife carrier as well as the specimen itself.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
