The SpectraMax Plus 384 Microplate Reader gives users the convenience of both standard spectrophotometer and microplate reader applications on the same instrument. Monochromator wavelength selection saves users time and trouble of ever having to change out filters. Typical applications include DNA and RNA quantification, enzyme kinetic assays, and ELISA based assays. Benefits to the Molecular Devices SpectraMax Plus 384 include the monochromator which allows up to six wavelengths at a time in the visible wavelength range and scanning ranges from 190 – 1000nm (adjustable in 1nm increments); easy assay optimization; correction for varying microplate well volumes; monitoring of temperature sensitive reactions.
Most of the equipment we sell is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.

This microplate reader is used and reconditioned. Our technicians will power this up and cycle through the menus to ensure that it is in general functional condition, but are unable to test it further.
The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
