Advanced thin film technology offers superior temperature control to maintain sample integrity. Powerful refrigeration assures dependable results at full load, regardless of rotor or speed. The Sorvall HT6 offers 10 acceleration and deceleration rates as well as memory capacity for 24 programs, each with individual password protection. The direct drive and brushless induction motor are designed for low maintenance operation. The microprocessor control system offers self-diagnostics for servicing. The built-in imbalance detection system has shutdown capability if an imbalance is detected.
This Thermo Sorvall HT6 comes with the RP6 swinging bucket rotor with a windshield body and lid. This rotor comes with 6 x 1L buckets. Maximum speed with the HT6 is 4,250 rpm with a force of 5,735 x g.
Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly. If the centrifuge is refrigerated we also test to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. All tolerances are measured and the exterior and interior of all units are fully cleaned. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. Fixed angle rotors are closely inspected for body integrity; swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets are checked for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.
The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
