Eppendorf 5702 benchtop centrifuge

The Eppendorf 5702 is a benchtop centrifuge design for use in a wide range of settings and applications, most notably as an economical option for clinical and cell culture labs. Rotors may be available; please call or email for pricing and availability.

Eppendorf 5702 benchtop centrifuge features

  • Speed range up to 4,400 rpm
  • Rotors sold separately – call or email for availability
  • 90-day warranty

The Eppendorf 5702 features a small footprint and low-access height. This allows it to fit into any lab without taking up inordinate bench space. The control panel is intuitive and easy-to-operate with a digital display and control knobs.

Other features include a brushless induction motor; digital display of rpm, RCF, and time; rpm to RCF conversion; a separate short spin button; and audible alarm at end of run. Locking time and speed parameters help avoid unintentional changes from occurring. Typical applications include tissue culture, blood separations, phenol chloroform extractions, cell harvesting, and standard low-speed applications.

Testing

This Eppendorf 5702 benchtop centrifuge is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly.

We also test to make sure that refrigerated machines reaches and hold temperature properly. We measure all tolerances and fully clean the exterior and interior of all units. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.

Our technicians inspect all rotors, including any buckets, gaskets and overspeed disks. We inspect fixed angle rotors for body integrity. We check swinging bucket rotors supplied with buckets for proper weight distribution. When possible we run each rotor in a compatible centrifuge to make sure the rotor spins properly.
