The 4E’s USA 96-Position Standard-Well Microplate magnetic bead separation rack streamlines paramagnetic bead-based separations for a wide range of laboratory applications. Specifically, magnetic beads play a vital role in processes like nucleic acid purification, cell-based assays, antibody purification, and protein purification.
Crafted from high-quality anodized aluminum, these racks are ideal for microtubes, also known as microcentrifuge tubes. Additionally, they are designed to maximize the recovery of proteins and other biological structures efficiently.
4E’s manufactures high-quality magnetic bead separation racks and offers them at competitive prices. These durable aluminum racks feature the strongest rare earth magnets, precise engineering, and nonskid feet for stability. Designed for magnetic separation experiments, they effectively isolate magnetic beads, allowing seamless addition or removal of affinity ligands—such as antibodies, streptavidin, or reagents for nucleic acid coupling—and rinse solutions during assays.
Engineered by experienced biologists and designers, 4E’s equipment is built to perform well and last long. Unlike plastic racks, which often tip, break, or lose magnets, these robust magnetic racks ensure optimal recovery. Understanding both the magnetic properties and magnet placement is key to efficient separation, ensuring precise recovery of proteins and nucleic acids.
4E’s magnetic racks play an essential role in biological research, efficiently isolating, purifying, and manipulating biomolecules, cells, and particles. They are widely used for DNA/RNA purification, protein purification, and cell isolation by leveraging magnetic beads coated with specific ligands or antibodies to capture target molecules or cells selectively.
In addition to their core applications, these racks support processes like drug discovery, biomolecule labeling, and high-throughput screening assays. They also enhance washing and buffer exchange steps, making them versatile tools for diverse research and diagnostic workflows. Furthermore, the shape and placement of the magnets are critical, as they determine how the magnetic field lines interact with the beads, directly influencing separation efficiency and recovery.

Yes, all equipment from American Instrument Exchange comes with a warranty.
Used/reconditioned/refurbished equipment is tested to make sure it operates to the manufacturer's specifications and comes with a 90-day warranty (unless otherwise noted). New equipment comes with a warranty from the manufacturer.
Testing requirements vary across all the equipment categories we sell. Temperature controlled units are tested with NIST traceable probes and data loggers. Gaskets, external housing, glass, handles, controls and control screens are all thoroughly inspected for integrity and functionality.
We test all equipment using the manufacturer's parameters and specifications to confirm that the unit operates properly.
We can ship products both nationally and internationally using a well-established network of transporters. Smaller items will ship via UPS. Larger equipment will be palletized and shipped either LTL or air-ride, depending on the specific equipment and/or delivery requirements.
American Instrument Exchange will accept the return of any product that is not working as represented and could not be replaced or repaired to the customer's satisfaction during the warranty period. Customers who cancel orders after refurbishing has begun will be subject to a cancellation and restocking fee of between 20% and 40%.
