Buchi R-205 rotary evaporator system
The Buchi R-205 rotary evaporator “rotavapor” system includes the R-205 tower, V-800 vacuum controller, B-491 heating bath, and V-700 vacuum pump. The Buchi R-205 rotavapor features a footprint of only 0.14m2 to help conserve bench space along with a quick action jack that can be operated both manually and by push button. The PFTE and glass sealing system is long-lasting and resistant to chemicals, reducing maintenance costs. With a rotation range from 20rpm to 280rpm, the Buchi R-205 system can process samples from 50mL to 3L depending on glassware configuration.
The Buchi V-800 vacuum controller integrates optimally with the R-205 system and allows for regulation and display of pressure ratios for optimal distillation. The large LCD display can show vacuum in either mbar or torr.
The Buchi B-491 heating bath can be used as either a water bath to 100°C or oil heating bath to 180°C. Simple knob controls allow for temperature setting as well as selection between water and oil function. The B-491 can accept flasks up to 4L.
The Buchi V-700 features a brushless DC motor with motor speed of 1600rpm. The 1.8m3/hour flow rate produces a noise level of between 40 and 52dBA. All components that come in contact with solvent vapors are made of PTFE or other resistant materials. An absolute vacuum of 10mbar can be achieved with the V-700 vacuum pump and V-800 vacuum controller.
All of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.

The photos above are representative. Please bear in mind that the equipment shown is currently in storage in our warehouse and that in addition to testing each machine we will clean all the equipment thoroughly prior to shipment. We often have multiple units of each model in stock and sometimes we're unable to feature photos of every single unit. At your request, we can provide photos of the equipment in your order after it has been tested and cleaned.
