The Applied BioSystems StepOnePlus Real-Time PCR System offers advanced real-time PCR technology and measures amplification as it occurs, cycle by cycle, allowing for precise and quantitative measurements during the exponential phase of PCR. The StepOnePlus features two-fold discrimination with 99.7% confidence, along with 9 logs of dynamic range and detection of 10 copies of RNaseP in a 30-μL reaction. The Design Wizard software allows even novice users to set up real-time PCR experiments. The StepOnePlus is equipped with fluorophore detection chemistries that include FAM and VIC dye-labeled TaqMan MGB probe-based assays, VIC and TAMRA dyelabeled probe-based assays and SYBR Green I dye chemistry. Applications include SNP genotyping, microRNA expression, translocation analysis, gene detection, gene expression analysis, protein expression, and viral load analysis. Analysis methods include standard curve, relative standard curve, comparative ct, genotyping and presence/absence, and melt curve analysis.
Please note that this unit is being sold without software. While we are able to test certain pieces of analytical equipment using software in our shop, most software licenses are non-transferrable. New software should be purchased directly from the manufacturer by each lab installing the instrument and we price the equipment with this expectation. Please call or email us for more details.
All of the equipment we sell is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
